What hosting do you need for TGGroups? Shared, cloud or VPS

TGGroups does not need special hosting. It includes everything it needs, so there is no Composer, Node.js or SSH to set up. Most directories start on a good shared hosting plan.

Checklist

• PHP 8.2 or newer with pdo_mysql, mbstring, openssl, curl, fileinfo, xml and gd.
• MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+ (SQLite works for small sites).
• Apache with .htaccess support, or Nginx.
• Outgoing HTTPS to t.me (reading link details), to the license server and to api.telegram.org for the bot.
• Cron jobs for backups and link health checks.
• A free SSL certificate.

The installer checks most of these on its first screen and tells you exactly what is missing.

Shared, cloud or VPS?

• Shared hosting — fine for a new directory and a few thousand visitors a day.
• Cloud or managed hosting — more memory and CPU when traffic grows or you run the link health check on many links.
• VPS — full control for large directories, if you or your host can manage a server.
